Oncology Massage Services Offered

The Sierra Center for Oncology Massage offers massages tailored to both your preferences and your current physical condition. We view the massages we provide as both comfort oriented and medical. We want to nurture as well as assist your healing process.

We always do a detailed intake, even on subsequent visits, gathering information like current treatments you are undertaking, side effects you are experiencing, blood counts, mood, pain levels, etc. Based on the specifics we gather from you, we prepare a Massage Plan to mitigate any issues you bring and to boost the body in reclaiming its health.

The Massage Plan may include any or a combination of the following:

• Acupressure
• Reflexology
• Swedish massage – effleurage
• Manual Lymphatic Drainage
• Cranialsacral techniques
• Hot stones working with master acupressure points and for aches and pains
• Special Ayurvedic oils
• Techniques to boost stem cell production
• Techniques to boost the immune system

We will also accompany you while you receive your chemotherapy and provide reflexology during the infusion. Research studies have shown this to lessen side effects of the chemotherapy.

Community Service Day

The Sierra Center for Oncology Massage hosts a Community Service Day every second and fourth Friday of the month offering no-cost massages to people who are in treatment for cancer.
