Nicki offers Oncology Massage, Reflexology for Cancer Patients, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Education: Nicki has over 1600 hours of massage training.
Seven hundred of those are in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. She completed a two and a half year training with Michael Shea in June of 2004. Certification required, in addition to coursework, a minimum of 150 client hours of practical experience.
Over 300 hours of her training is specific to Oncology Massage and its related areas such as Reflexology, Acupressure, Anatomy, Medical Terminology, Cancer Basics, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Pathology. Nicki received most of her Oncology Massage training from Isabel Adkins, one of the oncology massage field’s leading educators in the country.
Experience: Nicki previously supervised the hospital based student massage clinics for the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center.
Volunteer: She now manages the Grass Valley Community Service Day working with a group of experienced Oncology Massage Therapists in the Sacramento/Grass Valley/Placerville area who volunteer their time to offer no-cost oncology massages, twice a month. Nicki was a poster presenter at the first Oncology Massage Healing Summit in Toledo, Ohio.
She has a private practice in Oncology Massage in Grass Valley, California.
One of Nicki’s other personalities is a California Registered Architect who does graphic design and very creatively paints floors and recycled furniture for her business, Whymsical Revivals.
